Pediatric and Adolescent Center of Grand Prairie & Arlington has incorporated education programs and events in our normal day-to-day services to show our commitment to your child’s growth, health, and development.
PACGPA is excited to announce that we have received our designation as a Reach Out and Read Site (ROR). ROR is a literacy program that makes promoting reading a standard part of pediatric primary care so that children grow up with books and a love of reading.
Growth through Conservation…
We believe that by taking a more active role in conservation efforts, our team can help increase children’s awareness and knowledge on the importance of habitat and animal preservation.
Since receiving our designation in May 2008, we have given over 500 new books to the children in our care. We would like to thank Medical Center of Arlington for enriching the lives of our patients through reading and making books accessible to those that need them the most. If you would like to learn more about this program or donate to Reach Out and Read, please contact Chonnie Richey at crichey@emcaturaymd.com or 972-206-2940 x230.
The team at Pediatric and Adolescent Center of Grand Prairie & Arlington believe that by caring for our environment and the animals that live on our planet, we contribute to our own wellness. In the next few months, we will be working with local organizations, to help us with our education efforts.
One of biggest event is our Back-to-School event which is typically held in August. This FREE health fair gives us the opportunity to give back to the community by allowing us to provide school/sports physicals, low cost vaccinations, and health seminars – all free to the public.
